Ferry Aid

Some of the greatest moments over the past 20 years have been about you helping us in Bizarre campaigns.

One of our biggest was Ferry Aid.It followed the Zeebrugge disaster in 1987 when 193 were killed when the cross-Channel ferry Herald of Free Enterprise overturned.

We set out to raise money for the grieving families with a cover of THE BEATLES’ Let It Be.

Many of the biggest celebs of the day, including Wham! girls Pepsi and Shirlie, queued up to help.

Produced by Hit Factory gurus STOCK, AITKEN AND WATERMAN the song went straight to No1 and helped Ferry Aid raise more than £1million for the victims’ families.
